How to reset my SpotCam locally?

You will need to reset SpotCam locally in particular situations. For example, you will need to reset the camera locally to remove the user data saved in the camera if you deactivate the camera when it’s offline. We will explain how to reset different SpotCam products in the article below.

[Products without a local reset button]
Models: SpotCam HD/SpotCam HD Pro/SpotCam HD Eva/SpotCam FHD/SpotCam FHD Pro/SpotCam Sense/SpotCam Sense Pro

Since there is no reset button on the camera, you will need a laptop or desktop computer with WiFi connectivity to finish the camera reset process. Please check the SOP below according to the OS of your computer to reset your SpotCam locally.

The location of the reset button may differ from different models, and it’s usually at the back/ bottom of the camera or next to the camera power jack. Most business cameras are weatherproof outdoor models and the reset button is inside the camera case, you need to remove the case when resetting the camera locally. Please find the table below for more information:


Note: SpotCam Ring and SpotCam Ring Pro come with a white chime speaker and the doorbell connects through the chime speaker. There’s no reset button on the doorbell camera, please reset the chime speaker.

Note: If you’re using SpotCam business cameras and connect to the Ethernet, please remove the Ethernet cable before you reset the camera. After resetting it successfully without connecting to the Ethernet cable, the camera will work in AP mode and you will hear a regular beep sound.
