How to set up mobile device to receive SpotCam Ring push notifications?

You can receive automatic real-time doorbell alert notifications from SpotCam Ring on your smartphone and E-mail. Most importantly, these features are free. To enable SpotCam to receive doorbell alerts, you can make the following settings:

Operating with the Mobile App
Receiving doorbell alert notifications can be done using the mobile app, whether you are using an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet. The following is an example guide using a smartphone.

1. Access the camera settings, click on enable "Alerts". Simultaneously, to receive notifications on your mobile device, please enable push "Alerts Notifications". This way, when the doorbell alarm is triggered, your device will receive the alert message.

2. Click on the alarm notification settings in the image above, choose "Doorbell Pressed", and press save. Your device will then receive push notifications for doorbell alerts.

3. If you want to receive alert notifications via email, click on "Email Alert" in camera settings page to enter email settings page, then click add/delete buttons next to "Send Alarm To Email" to add or delete the email addresses to receive alerts notification.

If you have completed the settings but still do not receive push notifications, using iOS as an example, please check the application settings within your mobile device. Scroll down to find and enter the SpotCam app. In the SpotCam app settings, ensure that "Notifications" are allowed and all permissions are granted. If you have confirmed that notifications are allowed but still haven't received doorbell alert push notifications, it may be due to restrictions imposed by the operating system of your mobile device. In situations where the SpotCam app hasn't been launched at all since the phone was started, you may not receive doorbell alert push notifications. In such cases, try opening the SpotCam app or keep the app running in the background to see if you can receive doorbell alert push notifications.
