Models Supporting microSD Cards

As a pioneer and leading solution provider of cloud video surveillance, SpotCam cameras offer free cloud recording, allowing you to monitor live video while enjoying cloud video recording and review cloud footage for FREE without the need for a memory card. However, we understand that sometimes you may want to store video locally on a memory card, besides, if cloud recording is used together with a memory card, SpotCam supports automatic backup recording during network disconnection and will automatically upload the backup footage to the cloud once the network is restored, ensuring no loss of video recordings whatsoever. Below is the list of SpotCam models that support memory cards and the maximum supported capacity respectively.

*Only the new versions of SpotCam MD1 and PT1 support up to 512GB; the old versions support up to 256GB only.

Notes on Purchasing microSD Cards

Some SpotCam models support microSD cards for local recording and backup recording during network disconnection, and upload to the cloud once the network is restored. Please follow the guidelines below when selecting a memory card to ensure proper recording functionality.

1.Since there are many brands and generic products of microSD cards with varying memory wafer quality, we recommend using SpotCam’s own brand of memory cards to ensure compatibility and quality, and to receive RMA after-sales service and technical support. We cannot guarantee compatibility with third-party microSD cards with SpotCam cameras, and we are unable to assist with RMA or troubleshooting for third-party cards.

2.When purchasing third-party memory cards, please choose microSD cards labeled Premier/Max/Pro/Extreme/Endurance grade. These cards are usually designed for long-term continuous and loop recording, providing greater reliability and stability for video surveillance and video recording purposes.

3.The detailed memory card specification requirements for SpotCam cameras are listed in the table below. Using cards that don't meet these specifications doesn't necessarily mean they won't work, but it could increase the chances of missing video segments, dropped frames, or reduced memory card lifespan.

4.When purchasing memory cards, make sure to buy from authorized channels or sellers, and avoid purchasing memory cards priced significantly lower than reasonable market prices to prevent buying second-hand, refurbished, counterfeit, or cards made from inferior wafers.

microSD Card Compatibility List

Below is a list of memory cards we have tested and confirmed to be compatible and to work properly with SpotCam products. Please note that we do not guarantee the quality or lifespan of these cards; the list is based solely on laboratory testing showing that these cards can record and operate normally with SpotCam.
